COMMUNITY ART EXHIBITION
27th – 30th October 2026
Join us for a diverse celebration of art, owls and community. This year, we’re thrilled to present our annual Night of 1000 Owls fundraising initiative in collaboration with the Bitou Birding Festival, inviting members of the public and school children to create their own owl-inspired artwork using any medium they choose. All submissions will be exhibited during the festival and offered for sale, with proceeds supporting Raptor Rescue’s conservation efforts while inspiring creativity, celebrating our incredible owl species, and promoting wildlife education.
BITOU BIRDING FESTIVAL
A PARLIAMENT OF OWLS

Join us for an enchanting evening celebrating the owls of the Garden Route in collaboration with the Bitou Birding Festival. The evening’s highlights are an engaging presentation on the secret lives of owls, followed by a guided night walk where we’ll listen for the calls of wild and resident owls and learn to identify their distinctive sounds. Alongside this, enjoy our Night of 1000 Owls art exhibition, live music and refreshments. Every ticket supports the rescue, rehabilitation and conservation of birds of prey in the Garden Route.

Join us for a special Night Christmas Market, where the gardens come alive with twinkling lights, local creativity and festive cheer. Discover beautiful handmade treasures from local artisans, get stuck into creative workshops, and treat yourself to delicious picnic-style finger foods and sweet treats. Find a cosy spot on a picnic blanket, relax beneath the stars and enjoy a glass of wine, a local craft beer, fresh juice or a freshly brewed coffee while soaking up the atmosphere. 10% of all sales will go directly towards supporting Raptor Rescue.

Looking for the perfect venue for your next event? Our space is ideal for children’s parties, workshops, or special gatherings, with everything you need to make your day memorable. We offer a fully operational food truck on request, toilets and washrooms, ample parking, seating and tables, and decor and styling options that can be customised to suit your theme. Children’s parties can include guided tours, flying demonstrations, and custom cakes, while workshops hosted here have ranged from craft, pottery, and plating to flower arranging and mind mapping. Whatever your event, we’re here to help bring your vision to life.
